Participation Policy

Overview

5432WON is a parent-led kids singing and dancing performance group based in Durham, North Carolina. This policy outlines important information about participation, safety, and media usage.

By participating in 5432WON activities, families acknowledge and agree to these terms.

Participation & Supervision

• •Parents or guardians are responsible for supervision and transportation to and from all rehearsals and performances.
• •Participation in 5432WON is completely voluntary. Families may withdraw at any time.
• •Parents must provide explicit permission for their child to participate in all group activities, performances, and events.
• •Families are responsible for providing appropriate wardrobe items for performances as communicated by group leadership.

Liability & Risk Acknowledgment

• •Parents acknowledge that singing, dancing, and performance activities involve normal movement and physical activity.
• •While we prioritize safety, parents understand that minor injuries (such as bumps or scrapes) can occur during normal activity.
• •Parents are responsible for ensuring their child is physically able to participate in group activities.
• •5432WON leadership will make reasonable efforts to maintain a safe environment but cannot guarantee the prevention of all accidents or injuries.

Media & Privacy Policy

• •All photos and videos of performances require parent approval before being shared publicly.
• •Approved performance media (photos and videos) is owned by 5432WON and may be used for promotional purposes.
• •Behind-the-scenes content (rehearsal photos, candid moments) will only be shared with explicit permission from parents.
• •Children's personal information (full names, addresses, school names) will never be shared publicly.
• •Parents may request removal of their child's image from public materials at any time.

Group Structure & Expectations

• •5432WON is a five-member performance group. Acceptance into the group is not guaranteed for all applicants.
• •There is no cost to join or participate in 5432WON activities.
• •Group members are expected to attend rehearsals regularly and communicate absences in advance.
• •Respectful behavior is expected from all participants. Bullying, exclusion, or unkind behavior will not be tolerated.
• •Parents are expected to communicate openly with group leadership about any concerns or questions.

Performance & Compensation

• •5432WON may perform at community events, private functions, or other venues.
• •There is no guarantee of paid performance opportunities or bookings.
• •If compensation is received for a performance, distribution will be determined by group leadership and communicated to families in advance.
• •Families should not expect financial compensation as a condition of participation.

Communication & Updates

• •Group leadership will communicate rehearsal schedules, performance opportunities, and important updates via email or a private parent group.
• •Schedules and locations are shared privately with participating families only and should not be shared publicly.
• •Parents are responsible for checking communications regularly and responding to requests in a timely manner.

Changes to This Policy

5432WON leadership reserves the right to update this policy as needed. Families will be notified of any significant changes. Continued participation after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
